President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has inspected repair and reconstruction work at schools in Baku districts.The President first inspected the repair and reconstruction work at school No. 225 in Yasamal district. President Aliyev then visited school No. 35 in Nasimi district.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter of congratulations to Singapore President Sellapan Ramanathan in connection with a national holiday.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev headed to Sochi, Russia, for a working visit. At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Head of State was seen off by Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov. The Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Dmitry Medvedev will discuss Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and the legal status of the Caspian Sea at the talks in Sochi .

President Ilham Aliyev received ambassadors of Moslem countries to Azerbaijan and heads of the diplomatic representatives on the occasion of the month of Ramadan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit. They underlined the two countries were interesed in expanding bilateral relations. They also discussed prospects of cooperation between the two countries in a variety of fields, in particular political and economic ones.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended an Iftar ceremony on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan hosted by Head of the Caucasian Muslims` Board Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade at his residence on Friday. The Iftar party was opened by Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade.

13 -year-old schoolgirl from Khankendi Adeline Avagimyan wrote a letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The draft law on political parties in Azerbaijan envisages that the funding of these parties from the state budget will assign certain obligations on them, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), MP Siyavush Novruzov told the NAP official website

The Azerbaijani government has changed the rules for determining the amount of monetary compensation for military personnel hiring temporary accommodation. The decision was signed by Prime-Minister Artur Rasizade. Based on this decision, changes were made to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision dated 13 July 2006 "On establishing the amount of monetary compensation to the military (married cadets of military schools) for the hiring of temporary accommodation."

Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit was on official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. He was accompanied on his trip by Vince Henderson, Dominica's ambassador to the United Nations.

Dominica and Azerbaijan are seeking to explore ways they can together enhance global peace and security. Dominica also stands to benefit in agriculture, education and trade with improved relationship with Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Skerrit said.

Azerbaijan delivered a note to Iran in connection with the unreasonable statements of the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces toward the Azerbaijani leadership and people posted on Iranian Fars news agency's issue dated Aug.10, 2011. The note was delivered to Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagher Bahrami was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on Aug.11 due to the statements.

A council is being established to realize the "Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015" State Program. Representatives of the relevant state agencies of Azerbaijan, international organizations and social structures will be invited to the council. Appropriate structures already presented their candidacies..

The ruling New Azerbaijan Party has announced its position on opposition party statements.
"The parties must seek the cause of their weakness," Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party, MP Siyavush Novruzov said. He said the activity of political parties is carried out within the law on political parties.

The ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) assesses the permission granted to former Azerbaijani president Ayaz Mutallibov to come to the country as a step of humanism.

The Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) and the "Musavat" behave themselves to death, Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA) Chairman Sardar Jalaloglu said. He said the POFPA and Musavat put themselves above other parties and therefore do not want to join a broad opposition unity.

On Aug.9, the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire to the Azerbaijani troops from the positions outside the Kuropatkino village in the Khojavand region at 08.00-08.15, from the positions near the Yusifjanli village in the Agdam region at 08.47-08.55, from the positions outside the Tapqaraqoyunlu village in the Goranboy region at 13.20-13.40; Also, the fire was opened to the Azerbaijani troops on Aug. 10 from the positions outside the Ashagi Abdulrahmanli and Qorqan villages in the Fuzuli region at 01.45-01.50, 02.05-02.10 and 05.38-05.45.

The Azerbaijani troops answered their fire.

The Armenian Armed Forces opened fire at the Azerbaijani troops from positions in the nameless heights in the Khojavand region at 10:02- 10:07 on Aug.10, as well as from positions outside the Tapgaragoyunlu village in the Goranboy region at 10:00- 10:15.

Further, the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire from positions outside the Sarijali and Shurabad villages in the Agdam region at the Azerbaijani troops at 13.50- 14.00 and 14.05- 14.10 and from positions in the nameless heights in the Dashkesan region at 13.10- 13.35, as well as from positions outside the Horadiz and Ashagi Abdulrahmanli villages in the Agdam region at 03.55- 04.05 on Aug.11. The Azerbaijani troops answered their fire.

Aug. 11

A documentary film shot in English titled, "Who is Guilty?," dedicated to Karabakh, will soon be presented to the public, the Democratic Reform Youth public association said. The film tells the story of the atrocities of Armenian vandals against the Azerbaijani people during the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas.

The Armenian Armed Forces opened fire at the Azerbaijani troops from positions in the nameless heights in the Dashkesan region at 17.55-18.20 on Aug.11.

Further, the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire from positions in the nameless heights in the Fuzuli region at 00.15-00.20 on Aug.12, from positions outside the Berkaber village in the Armenian Ijevan region at the Azerbaijani troops in the Gizilhajili village in the Gazakh region at 00.10-00.20.

The Azerbaijani troops answered their fire.

On Aug. 12, the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire to the Azerbaijani troops from the nameless heights in the Krasnoselsk region of the Republic of Armenia at 18.15 - 18.40, and from positions outside the Tapqaraqoyunlu village in the Goranboy region;

Also, on Aug. 13 the fire was opened to the Azerbaijani troops from the positions near the Ashagi Seyidahmadli village in Fuzuli region at 00.00-00.05, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.

The Azerbaijani troops answered their fire.
