At his Tuesday meeting with journalists, Chairman of the People's Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan said that he does not object to cooperating with the parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition, Tert.am reported.
With respect to the call by Khachatur Kokobelyan, Chairman of the Free Democrats party, that the opposition should not have several candidates in the same constituencies, Demirchyan said, "I think we will thus be more efficient, without interfering with one another."
As regards the possibility of other political forces joining the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Demirchyan rules it out. However, the ANC is ready to cooperate with different forces for fair elections.
