There are no countries going to recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia, said Friday to a "Echo of Moscow" radio Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, RIA "Novosti" reported.
"The last major victory for Russian diplomacy is Tuvalu," - he said.
The minister expressed the opinion that "part of their (all Russian embassies) agenda is the recognition (of Abkhazia and South Ossetia)."
"However, it is not particularly impressive," - said Vashadze.
"We have an established mechanism, we know fast enough about this (recognizing the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia)" - he continued.
The minister said that "all Russian attempts have the opposite effect - now 190 countries are well aware of the Georgian perspective."
Military actions were launched in the Georgian territory, South Ossetia on Aug.8 in 2008. Later the Russian troops occupied the Tskhinvali city and drove the Georgian military back. Russia recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in late August. In response, Tbilisi broke off diplomatic relations with Moscow and announced two unrecognized republics as the occupied territories.
