EU Special Envoy for South Caucasus discusses constitutional amendments in Georgia

Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Giorgi Papuashvili met with EU Special Representative for South Caucasus on crisis issues Philippe Lefort, and acquainted him with the Court’s functions, as well as reforming of the legal system and decisions adopted by the Constitutional Court.

Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Giorgi Papuashvili met with EU Special Representative for South Caucasus on crisis issues Philippe Lefort, and acquainted him with the Court's functions, as well as reforming of the legal system and decisions adopted by the Constitutional Court.

"We shared information on institutional reforms, as well as discussed activity of the EU mission and functions of the Constitutional Court," Lefort told reporters on Friday.

The parties also discussed the processes in Adjara and Georgia as a whole. The meeting was held behind closed doors.
