The state will fully compensate the damage to the Georgian people who suffered from the floods, announced the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at a meeting of the Government of Georgia Sept.30.
Garibashvili said that he will visit the flood-affected regions of the country Sept. 30 to familiarize himself with the situation.
"A special office on the elimination of consequences of the disaster was created in western Georgia, heads, their deputies, and officers of the respective ministries were mobilized. In addition, the head of the Council of crisis management controls the measures to eliminate the consequences of the floods. All necessary equipment, about 2,000 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the brigades of emergency medical assistance have been mobilized," he said.
The Prime Minister also noted that the current situation in the regions due to flooding is under control.
