Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has held talks with Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said and Turkish President Abdullah Gul to review regional and international developments.

Ahmadinejad, in separate telephone conversations with Sultan Qaboos and President Gul, engaged in productive discussions in which he emphasized on the necessity of expansion of cooperation among regional countries in a brotherly and friendly manner, IRNA reported on Thursday.

The Iranian chief executive further hailed ties between Iran and the two countries, reiterating that such interactions would be in the interest of regional nations and the Muslim World.

Ahmadinejad also expressed that constant exchange of views and the enhancement of coordination among regional countries on various important regional and international issues will lead to the cultivation of greater security and stability in the region.

Sultan Qaboos and President Gul, for their parts, shared the same views on the need to boost cooperation and consultation with the Islamic Republic on regional and international issues, PressTV reported.
