Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 16 / Trend А.Gut/ The number of those killed by the heavy traffic accident, which occurred on the highway between Mitzpe-Ramon and Eilat (in the south of Israel), reached 30 people, the second channel of Israeli television reported. One of the witnesses of the tragedy said that the error of the driver, who decided to outstrip the car going in front and lost control, caused the accident.
The tenth television channel reported that as a result the force of blow, many
tourists in the bus flied through the windows. Despite that the highway is
protected by special road barriers, it laid completely from the force of blow.
The Ministry of Tourism opened an operational office in the Russian language. According to the estimation of the Israeli experts, this is the heaviest traffic accident in the history of Israel. It was reported that the number of those died may increase.
The Ministry of Health called all medical workers, who are in Eilat, to arrive at the Yoseftal hospital and render assistance to victims. A source at the Yoseftal hospital told Trend 33 tourists from Russia were hospitalized, with 23 heavily injured.
