The Israeli air force late Tuesday bombed seven separate targets in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army said the attacks were in retaliation for mortar attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip, dpa reported.
Palestinian sources said the apparent targets were underground weapons caches and launch pads for rockets and grenades. The targets were spread from southern Gaza, to Gaza City and the north of the enclave.
There were no reports of dead or wounded.
The Israel army spokeswoman declined to give additional details.
