( TurkishDailyNews ) A judge on Thursday released three Senegalese women who had spent a week in jail after they were arrested for dancing provocatively in a Senegalese nightclub. Judge Catherine Aissata Ba dropped the charges of public indecency against the three women, but upheld a lesser charge of committing a moral offense. Although the owner of the club was also released, the man who organized the dirty dancing competition at the club was sentenced to one month in prison and fined $400 (euro280). A lawyer for the women called the judge's decision "acceptable," even though the three will have to serve six months' probation. "That will allow the justice system to keep an eye on them, since this is a matter of morality," said Papa Sene , one of the lawyers for the dancer Ndeye Gueye . The 30-year-old Gueye , one of the best known dancers in Senegal, and her friends Fatima Dorena and Ndeye Gaye, were arrested after a videotape surfaced showing them "dirty dancing" in Alexandra, a Dakar club. The videotape, which was filmed without their knowledge, shows them competing in a dance contest. The women draw a traditional African skirt tightly around their waists to accentuate their form, then they shake their hips, lean forward to show off their thighs and squat up and down to the beat of an African drum
