2 killed, 25 injured in crossfire in NW Pakistan

Two persons were killed and 25 others injured as security forces and militants traded fire in northwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, the private TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.
  
The crossfire erupted between security forces and Taliban militants in Mingora, the main town of the restive Swat valley in North West Frontier Province, said the report.
  
Tension escalated in Swat valley as Taliban had reportedly launched a bunch of attacks in Mingora on Monday. The local administration imposed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am in Swat valley, Xinhua reported.
  
The DAWN NEWS TV channel quoted the District Coordination Officer of Swat as saying that the people of Mingora town should leave the area immediately.
  
Local press indicated that another military operation in Swat was possible in the wake of rising tension.
