An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted Xigaze in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region Friday morning, according to the national seismological network, Xinhua reported.
The quake struck at 10:22 a.m. Beijing time.
With a depth of about 10 km, the epicenter was detected as 30.9 degrees north latitude and 84.0 degrees east longitude in Zhongba County.
No injuries or deaths have been reported.
