At least one US-led soldier serving with the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) has been killed in a militant attack in southern Afghanistan, Press TV reported.
The ISAF said in a statement released on Sunday that the soldier was killed on Saturday, Reuters reported.
The ISAF statement did not reveal the nationality of the soldier or any further details on the incident.
According to iCasualties.org, at least 512 US-led soldiers, most of them Americans, have died in Afghanistan so far this year.
The increasing number of troop casualties in Afghanistan has caused widespread anger in the US and other NATO member states, undermining public support for the Afghan war.
