The Turkish armed forces began military operations against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq after the terrorist attack in the country's eastern province of Igdir, the Turkish newspaper Milliyet said Sept. 8.

Other details are not disclosed.

A bus carrying police officers has been blown up in Turkey's Igdir province, TRT Haber TV channel reported Sept.8.

Reportedly, twelve representatives of the security forces were killed as a result of the explosion.
The number of injured is currently being defined.

Following the explosion, Turkish armed forces kicked off a large-scale operation against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Igdir province.
