Baku, Azerbaijan, May 30

In 2016 alone, Turkey allocated $6.5 billion for humanitarian aid, demonstrating an example of successful humanitarian activity on a global scale, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
He made the remarks in Ankara at a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party, Anadolu Agency reported May 30.
“By helping three million refugees from Iraq and Syria, Turkey has taught a lesson of humanity to the countries which only observe humanitarian tragedies in various parts of the world,” Erdogan noted.
