Turkey exported the defense industry products worth $15.451 million to Israel and Iran from January to September 2019, the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly told Trend on Oct. 11.
The export of the Turkish defense industry products to Iran decreased by 34.78 percent and reached $1.429 million from January to September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.
"The export of the Turkish defense industry products to Israel increased by more than 20 times and reached $14.022 million from January to September 2019," the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly said.
In September 2019, the export of the Turkish defense industry products to Iran increased by 5.26 percent and amounted to $152,900 compared to September 2018.
"In September 2019, the export of the Turkish defense industry products to Israel grew by 82.58 percent and amounted to $1.846 million," the Association said.
From January to September, the export of the Turkish defense industry products increased by 37.7 percent and amounted to $1.855 billion compared to the same period of 2018.
In September 2019, the export of the Turkish defense industry products grew by 1.2 percent and reached $164.236 million compared to September 2018.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover increased by 0.11 percent and reached $32.181 billion in September 2019 compared to September 2018.
From January to September 2019, Turkey’s total trade turnover reached $286.419 billion.
