From January through September 2019, 183 companies with capital from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were registered in Turkey, which is 36 companies less compared to the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
The total capital of UAE companies registered in Turkey in the first nine months of 2019 amounted to 53.4 million Turkish liras ($9.2 million), while in the same period of 2018, this figure was 94.283 million Turkish liras ($16.3 million).
In the period of January-September 2019, most of the UAE companies were registered in Istanbul (170), with a total capital of 46.427 million Turkish liras ($8 million).
During the nine-month period, four companies with a total capital of 343,000 Turkish liras ($59,326) were registered in Yalova province.
From January through September 2019, two agricultural, 13 industrial, eight construction, 97 wholesale and retail companies, nine tourism, three financial and insurance companies, 16 real estate companies with Emirati capital were registered in Turkey.
The remaining companies with Emirati capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.
The total capital of 97 wholesale and retail companies registered during the reported period amounted to 20.997 million liras ($3.6 million).
