BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 29. The number of companies registered in Türkiye in 2023 is 714 companies with Russian capital, which is 649 less than in 2022, Trend reports, referring Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye.
According to information, although the number of registered Russian companies decreased during the reporting period, their total capital increased.
"While the total capital of Russian companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 743.4 million Türkiye's Liras ($24.4 million) in the reporting period, the figure is 565.7 million Türkiye's Liras ($18.6 million) in 2022," TOBB informed in a statement.
Meanwhile, the majority of Russian companies in 2023 were registered in Istanbul (222).
"The total capital of Russian companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 426.2 million ($14 million) Türkiye's Liras," TOBB reported.
Based on the information, 19 construction companies, 375 trading companies, and 24 tourism companies are registered in Türkiye with the Russian capital in 2023. The rest of the companies are involved in other sectors of the economy.
