Structures collapsed at the offshore platform #441 of the Narimanovneft oil and gas production department on Oct. 23, according to an official message from Azerbaijan's Sate Oil Company (SOCAR).
Following the incident, workers' locker room on the platform fell onto a gas pipeline with a diameter of 700 millimeters, which caused a fire.
The Emergency Situations Ministry, the Vortex-5 fire ship and the vessels of the Caspian Sea Shipping Company are involved in extinguishing of the fire.
An investigation on the incident is underway.
