Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade expressed his opinion to the events taking place in the Islamic countries due to the insult to the Prophet Mohammed and condemned the clashes which resulted in the murder of the U.S. ambassador to Libya.
"Azerbaijani believers led by Sheikulislam, express their protest and oppose the events in Libya and Egypt," Pashazade added.
"The Azerbaijani people know about terror and are ready to combat it," Pashazade said.
The film 'Innocence of Muslims' became the pretext for an attack on U.S. diplomatic missions in Egypt, Libya and Yemen on September 11.
According to the latest official data, Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others were killed during the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
