The Gobustan Operating Company (GOC) completed drilling of a new gas well on the “Duvanny” field, a part of the “South-West Gobustan” contract area. The well’s depth is some 3000 meters, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend.
According to the SOCAR spokesman, at the moment testing is being held on the well. В"The plant has been removed to another field “Kyanizdag” for continuation of drilling of the assessment well”, SOCAR specified. Earlier, due to lack of equipment drilling was suspended here at the depth of over 3000 meters by the design depth of 3800 meters.
The GOC capital costs for 2005 have been identified as $6,5 million. $4 million will be spent on drilling of 5 various wells on the “South-West Gobustan”.
