The U.S. continues to support the development of the strong vibrant and competitive energy sector in Azerbaijan, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns told journalists on Tuesday.
"We continue to support diversification of export routes and diversify pipelines," he said.
Burns said it is in interest of Azerbaijan, but it is also in interest of the global economy.
"We believe that the emergence of multiple export routes and pipelines is a good thing," he added.
