The U.S. supports Azerbaijan's pro-Western platform, U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse said.
Azerbaijan can maintain sovereignty and security while integrating with the West, Derse said at a round-table discussion on economic cooperation between companies in the U.S., Caspian and Black seas regions and Baltic states.
The meeting focused on the U.S. energy policy toward the Caspian region.
Participants discussed regional opportunities for U.S. companies and conditions for Azerbaijani businesses entering the U.S. market.
