Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said during a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Ali Zardari during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO)'s 12th summit currently underway in the Chinese capital, that Tehran is ready to barter its gas and electricity with Pakistani goods, Mehr News agency reported.

With regard to the current problems in dealing with Iran caused by the West's

sanctions, Ahmadienjad said that the situation will actually be changed in favour of regional countries in future.

Iranian president called Tehran-Islamabad relations "friendly and brotherly", saying this is very "natural".

"Iran is ready to offer credits to the Pakistani part of Iran-Pakistan pipeline, so called the Peace pipeline. Also Iran is keen to boost electricity exports to Pakistan," he said.

Ahmadinejad added that there is no problem for Pakistan in paying off Iranian exports using the national currency or exporting Pakistani goods to Iran.

The U.S. and EU has adopted tight sanctions on Iran's banking system, especially embargoing the Central Bank of Iran, which will come into force late June.

Iran has had to replace the other countries national currencies with USD and euro, also bartering deals and using the gold as a payment tool to keep on foreign trading.
