The European Commission has published a forecast for a € 5,5 million contract for the ENPI - Eastern Partnership territorial cooperation support programme for Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, ENPI website reported.

According to the forecast, this technical assistance project is essentially aimed at reinforcing the structural capacities of local and regional authorities in ENPI East countries to enable them to effectively participate in future cross-border (CBC) programmes between Eastern Partnership countries, and to manage them.

The project falls under the 'territorial cooperation' sub-priority of the ENPI East Regional Strategy Paper and ENPI East regional indicative programme for 2010-2013, and is part of a wider intervention to support the creation of effective and operational territorial cooperation programmes between border regions of the Eastern Partnership countries, modeled after the existing ENPI CBC programmes.

The maximum budget for the contract is €5.5 million.
