Import of goods from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan in January-July 2017 amounted to $16.2 million, increasing by 57.5 percent or $5.9 million compared to the same period of 2016, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of National Economy said in a report obtained by Trend.
Trade relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are governed by a Free Trade Agreement signed on June 10, 1997.
Kazakhstan’s trade turnover with Azerbaijan in January-July 2017 amounted to $72.6 million, having decreased by 16.2 percent or $14 million compared to the same period in 2016.
Reduction in the trade turnover was due to a decrease in exports from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan.
Export of goods from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan in January-July 2017 amounted to $56.5 million, having decreased by 26.1 percent or $19.9 million compared to the same period in 2016.
