Rey Monitoring Center to hold exit poll in 60 polling stations in Azerbaijan

The Rey Monitoring Center will hold an exit poll in 60 polling stations on 10 constituencies during the upcoming parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, Rizvan Abbasov, the director of the center, said at a press conference Oct. 28.

During the press conference, he described the activity of the center and the rules of holding the exit poll.

He said that the Rey Monitoring Center has extensive experience in conducting exit polls.

"Earlier, the Center conducted the exit poll in presidential and parliamentary elections," he said.

Abbasov also said that the exit poll, in particular, would cover the voters of Baku and Sumgayit.

He said that more than 100 people would be engaged to conduct the exit-poll on a voluntary basis.

He said that the exit poll results would be announced after the election.

The Rey Monitoring Center's appeal to conduct the exit poll in the upcoming parliamentary election was discussed and approved at a meeting of the Azerbaijani Central Election Commission on Oct. 22.

The parliamentary election will be held in Azerbaijan Nov. 1.
