Presidential elections and foreign policy of Azerbaijan ї Azerbaijan 2008 is a topic of the round table to be held in Washington on 10 October, the Strategic Research Centre at the Azerbaijani President said.
American political scientists and economists will take part in discussions. Fredric Star, the head of the US Centre for Asia and Caucasus, Elkhan Nuriyev, the director of the Strategic Research Centre at the Azerbaijani President, Elin Suleymanov, the Azerbaijani Consul General in Los-Angels, and Elton Boer, the director of the International Fund for Elections Systems Department of the Centre for Asia and Caucasus, are expected to make a speech at the meeting.
On 14 October in Washington one more round table will take place at the International Research Centre at the Woodrow Wilson University, which will be dedicated to the current geopolitical situation in Azerbaijan and Eurasia, foreign-policy strategy, as well as energy security in the Caspian Region.
