Iran has successfully tested the Sizhil-2 type of ground-to-ground rocket, the IRNA agency quoted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying in the Semnan province.
"This missile was tested in the province of Semnan on Wednesday and successfully destroyed a goal," he said.
The Sijil-2 is capable of destroying objective, located at a distance of 2,000 km. It differs from missiles of Shahab-3, which have a one-lamp system, while Sijil-2 has two.
