Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 3 / Trend J. Babayeva /

The Azerbaijani People's Socialist Party (APSP) and Azerbaijani Left Democrats Party (ALDP) do not hurry to unify.

Both parties will attend individually the forum of the left forces scheduled for October. Discussions on unification of the parties will be continued after the forum, the APSP deputy head on public relations, Rustam Shahsuvarov, told Trend on Sept. 3.

The APSP and the ALDP negotiate on the unification of the parties, chairman of the ALDP, Elshan Manafov, told Trend earlier. A political decision may be made to unify the parties before the municipal elections, Manafov added.

According to Shahsuvarov, the unification of parties is real. "The parties are quite close to each other from ideological and political points of view," Shahsuvarov added.

The APSP was established in October, 2008 and did not pass the state registration.
