A Georgian embassy will open in Ottawa, Canada on Nov. 19, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing today.
She added that Georgia has never before had a diplomatic office in Canada. Earlier the country was represented by the Georgian ambassador to the United States.
Kalandadze said a delegation from the Georgian Foreign Ministry will leave for Canada to attend the opening ceremony of the embassy. The Georgian side plans to meet with representatives of the Canadian Trade Department. Their talks will focus on economic cooperation.
