Cooperation in energy, education and tourism were discussed in Baku during the meeting of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov with a delegation led by President of Chamber of Deputies of Mexico Oscar Arce Paniagua, the Foreign Ministry said.
Paniagua expressed Mexico's interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan in various spheres and noted the great potential in this regard. He praised the opening of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico and highlighted the opening of the Embassy of Mexico in Baku.
During the meeting, Elmar Mamdyarov expressed satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral cooperation between Mexico and Azerbaijan.
The Minister noted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy to strengthen friendly relations and expressed gratitude to the Mexican side for the decision on the recognition of Khojaly tragedy as genocide.
Intention to hold the Days of Culture of Mexico in Azerbaijan was expressed at the meeting. Days of Culture of Azerbaijan in Mexico has already been held.
