GUAM highlighted the importance of resolving conflicts on the basis of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of countries. This principle is stressed in protocol adopted by the Foreign Ministers of GUAM in New York at a meeting in the framework of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.
The Protocol was adopted at the 23rd session of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the organization, which was attended by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, said in statement of press service of the Ministry .
The document was also emphasized loyalty to the organization of the norms and principles of international law.
Ministers also discussed the issues of cooperation between GUAM and other international organizations.
