BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. A new alternative road bypassing Lachin is also scheduled for commissioning this year, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting dedicated to the results of the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports.
"This road is also very important, and we must put it into operation this year. The roads to be commissioned this year also include the Fuzuli-Hadrut highway, the Gubadli-Eyvazli village road and others. In particular, the construction of military roads will be continued in Kalbajar and Lachin districts. Last year alone, about 700 kilometers of roads were built in places where there had never been roads before. These roads have been built to the Azerbaijani-Armenian border," the head of state said.
