BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. In April 2024, the number of passengers arriving at the Dalaman International Airport in Turkish Mugla city increased by 25 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 594,299 people, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

It was noted that in April 2024, passenger traffic at the airport for domestic flights increased by 20 percent compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 351,610 people, and for international flights, it increased by 33 percent, reaching 242,689 people.

The cargo turnover at the airport amounted to 5,641 tons in April 2024, increasing by 25 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

Furthermore, in April 2024, the cargo turnover of the airport for domestic flights increased by 14 percent compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 2,637 tons, while for international flights, it increased by 37 percent, reaching 3,004 tons.

According to the information, the number of flights from the airport in April 2024 decreased by 2 percent compared to April 2023, totaling 6,734. The number of domestic flights decreased by 7 percent, reaching 5,012, while for international flights, it increased by 14 percent, reaching 1,722.

In April of this year, passenger transportation in all airports in Türkiye amounted to 61.8 million people, and cargo turnover amounted to 1.37 million tons.

To note, in 2023, passenger transportation in all airports in Türkiye amounted to more than 214 million people, and cargo turnover amounted to 4.2 million tons.
