Iran's IRENEX reveals its weekly sales

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. The value of sales at the Iranian Energy Exchange amounted to 53.3 trillion rials (about $119 million at the SANA exchange rate) in the last Iranian week (from May 4 through 8, 2024), Trend reports via Iran's Energy Exchange (IRENEX).

According to the information, more than 172,000 tons of oil and petrochemical products worth 47.1 trillion rials (about $105 million at the SANA exchange rate) were sold at the Iranian Energy Exchange last week.

The international section of the Energy Exchange realized 28.8 trillion rials (about $64.2 million at the SANA exchange rate), about 123,000 tons of products. This section sold mainly processed residues of rectification columns, light naphtha, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and others.

About 69,900 tons of products worth 18.3 trillion rials (about $40.8 million) were sold at the domestic section of the Energy Exchange. Naphtha, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), iso feed, CSR, and other products were mainly sold.

Besides, standard parallel salaf contracts worth 1.14 trillion rials (about 2.54 million dollars) were sold at the Energy Exchange last week.

The Energy Exchange also sold electricity worth 5.1 trillion rials (about $11.3 million).

To note, the sale of hydrocarbon products at the Iran Energy Exchange is of great importance to the country’s economy. Through the energy exchange, Iran seeks to provide hydrocarbon products needed by local companies as well as increase exports.
