Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / The Foreign Ministry of Israel protests against conducting hearing in the Parliament of Israel with regards to the so-called Armenian "genocide". The Deputy of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Evda Abramov, said that the hearing has been initiated by the pro-Armenian party Meres. According to him, the Foreign Ministry of Israel has made a protest statement on this issue and required immediately stopping the hearing. For this reason, the Foreign Ministry has appealed to the Knesset (Parliament) of Israel.

"The statement of the Foreign Ministry says that the hearing regarding so-called Armenian "genocide" may bring harms to the relations of Israel with one of the closest allies, Turkey. In addition, the Prime Minister of Israel, Ehut Olmert, has already expressed dissatisfaction with this issue. These discussions will yield no results," Abramov said.
