Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr Z. Safarov / The Azerbaijan Federation of Football Associations (AFFA) and UNICEF signed a joint memorandum envisaging the development of football in Azerbaijan.
The document reflects the points regarding the attraction of young boys to football trainings. Organization of special courses for beginner-coaches, master classes involving well-known football players for internally displaced persons and refugees, and other issues are also envisaged.
Football will help youth not only to become stronger physically but also spiritually, UNICEF representative in Azerbaijan, Hanna Singer, said. "I believe in the power of football, for it is something much more than a game," she added.
AFFA Secretary General, Elkhan Mammadov, noted that the Association was very glad to cooperate with UNICEF. "The point is not only football, but also sports and proper development," he said.
