Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 May/ corr. Trend G. Jabiyev/ Azerbaijan State Agency for Copyrights has worked out two new bills, Abutalib Samadov, the director of the agency said to Trend .
An Agency has set up a monitoring group aimed at exposing and preventing law infringement in the intellectual property market in Azerbaijan. This group constantly monitors the intellectual property market. Human rights activists are invited to take part in the monitoring.
According to Samadov, the Copyright Agency have worked out bills on" The Protection of Intellectual Property and the Fight against Piracy" and "Protection of Rights of Organizations Broadcasting in Digital Format" to strengthen the fight against piracy and submitted it to Cabinet of Ministers.
Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament) is also considering the Bill on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Copyrights and the Rights of Communication.
Samadov said that the adoption of the new Bills will considerably decrease the level of piracy in Azerbaijan, which will stimulate the development of intellectual property in the country.
