The Islamic Republic of Iran has no problems with opposition members, Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said. "All attempts to threaten Iranian security will be prevented," Khamenei said today during Friday Namaz. IRINN news channel broadcasted live his speech.
Khamenei said that disputes have repeatedly occurred among officials since beginning of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. "Occurrence of disputes is normal. But several people sometimes voice their views against the Islamic Republic's regime. In this case, the regime will take actions against these people," he said.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the presidential elections in Iran on June 12. Mir-Hossein Mousavi's supporters accused authorities of falsification of voting results and called on their cancellation.
About 27 people died in Tehran, hundreds were injured as a result of mass disorders.
