Professor of the Faculty of Natural Sciences in the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg Herbert Pohlmann expressed the intention to cooperate in the future in the sphere of mineralogy during his isit to the Institute of Geology of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Institute of Geology said.
Pohlmann said at the meeting with director of the Institute Akif Alizade that he knows Azerbaijan not only as oil and gas country, but also as a land rich in ore and non-metallic fields. Studying the similarities and differences between non-ore fields of Germany and Azerbaijan may be one of the goals of future cooperation, Pohlmann said.
Concrete steps for establishing cooperation will be taken after discussing the outcome of the visit in the Martin Luther University.
