First Lady of Azerbaijan today met with the delegation led by Katalin Bogyay, President of the General Conference of UNESCO, Permanent Representative of Hungary at UNESCO.
Expressing pleasure to welcome the guests, Azerbaijan's First Lady said UNESCO is one of the authoritative world organizations.
Mrs. Aliyeva noted the role of UNESCO in the context of the questions the International Humanitarian Forum is to focus in Baku.
"There are many international organizations in the world. They are engaged in numerous fields. Specificity of UNESCO is that it is engaged in the priority fields - education, science, culture", she underlined.
According to her, Azerbaijan will widen its cooperation with this Organization.
"Azerbaijan, as a country of different religions existing in peace and mutual respect, stands ready to be a model for world countries. I am hopeful, the to-be-accepted decisions will be a step forward in this context and make weighty contribution to the intercultural dialogue", Azerbaijan's First Lady emphasized.
Expressing gratitude for invitation, President of the General Conference of UNESCO Katalin Bogyay said the Forum would certainly yield useful fruits.
