The first European Games will help Azerbaijan improve its image and raise the authority in the world, Moldovan ambassador to Azerbaijan Igor Bodyu said.
"Good organizing and holding the European Games will help Azerbaijan improve its image and raise the authority in the world," the diplomat told Trend.
"Moldova attaches great importance to the participation of its athletes in the first European Games in Baku," he said. "All athletes are preparing for the Games at a high level."
"Moldova will be represented at the first European Games by a representative group of athletes," he said. "We are grateful to the Azerbaijani side for the good preparation for this sporting event."
Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
