Three more representatives of the Azerbaijani National Security Ministry were dismissed.
Among them are deputy head of the Anti-Terrorist Centre, Colonel Nail Taghizade, senior official of the Main Personnel Department Aysel Alizade and head of the Astara branch of the ministry.

Alizadeh is a close relative of chief of the Main Personnel Department Alimusa Aliyev.
Previously, ten senior officials of the ministry were dismissed.

The Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office spread information about the arrest of high-ranking officers of the National Security Ministry Oct. 20.

The Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office filed a criminal case on the facts of abuse of power by the officials of the national security ministry and other violations of the law under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, the statement said.

These officials are suspected of abusing the authority, violating the requirements of the law on operative search and the unlawful interference with business entities' activity, the statement said.

The criminal cases were filed under articles 308.2 "Acts envisaged by article 308.1 (abuse of power), resulting in serious consequences, or committed to influence the election results (referendum)", 309.1 (abuse of power), 302.2 (violation of legislation on operative-search activity) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree Oct.17 to dismiss the country's National Security Minister Eldar Mahmudov from his post.

President Aliyev signed a decree on appointment of Madat Guliyev as the first deputy minister of national security.
