Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree Dec. 28 amending the "Decree on Measures to Improve Governance in the Road and Transport Complex of Azerbaijan."
Under the new decree, the Azeryolservis was withdrawn from the authority of the Transport Ministry.
Aside from that, Cabinet of Ministers was tasked to prepare the drafts of the charter and structure of the Azeryolservis, as well as the proposals regarding the state agency executing the powers of the Azeryolservis general meeting, and present them to the president.
Transportation means and motorways on the balance sheet of the Transport Ministry should also be transferred to the balance sheet of the Azeryolservis within a month.
