BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 13. Baku's Master Plan proposes specific targets until 2027, setting the groundwork for the activities planned for the next stage, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan's State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Ilgar Isbatov told Trend.
He stated that, at the outset, one of the most pressing challenges is transportation infrastructure.
"The development of transportation lines in various key places is a priority. Work in this direction has already started. There is a plan to overhaul the railway network, and work is being done in accordance with it. For example, consistent work regarding communication lines is underway," the official said.
"These processes must be completed first before we can advance to the next stage. Large projects, including renewable energy sources, are being undertaken. All of this serves as the foundation for the growth of the territories," the deputy chairman concluded.
