From 8 to 16 July, the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan held monitoring in Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, Trend reports with reference to SBS.
The monitoring was aimed at studying the preservation of bio-resources and ecological situation of the Caspian Sea. During the monitoring, 14 vessels were inspected and 10 out of them were observed with shortages. Besides, the members of the monitoring discovered and eliminated 4000-meter fish net, 1500 meters of various fish means and 25 anchors in the sea.
Investigations are carried out on all revealed facts.
