Azerbaijan , Baku / corr . Trend E.Javadova / On 22 February the Court on Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan continued the court session over the case of the former Health Minister of Azerbaijan , Ali Insanov.
Insanov's advocate Shahverdi Agaver presented to the attention of the Court that while arresting Hasanov, the TV channel AzTV and Lider TV showed that bar of gold was found at his home. Materials over the criminal case do not include protocol on the bar of gold. No accusations have been made against Insanov in connection with that. The Advocate asked the court to verify this question.
Insanov appealed to the Judge and asked to reconsider his request on altering the measure of punishment. In addition, Insanov presented to the attention of the Judge that one of the accusations against him is linked with the misappropriation. "I am accused that as though I have gained a huge amount of finance from the sale of the medicine "Insanevit" and did not pay tax to the State from these finances. But I have an invoice on tax payment in amount of nearly $100 thousands. I ask you to get these documents form the Taxes Ministry and attach them to the case," Insanov said.
