“Friend of SMEs” service to start operating in 4 more Azerbaijani cities

Until the end of 2018, the “Friend of SMEs” service will start operating in Azerbaijan’s Ganja, Yevlakh, Guba and Gusar, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan’s Agency for the Development of SMEs, said at the first meeting of the Supervisory Board, Trend reports with reference to the Economy Ministry Dec. 26.

“The 'Friend of SMEs' services already operate in Azerbaijan’s Masalli, Siyazan, Khachmaz and Shabran, and by the end of the year they will operate in Ganja, Yevlakh, Guba and Gusar,” he said.

Mammadov noted that work is underway to create the first SME house in Baku.

“In general, around 110 services will be rendered to entrepreneurs in the SME houses. The 'E-House of SMEs' website is also being created. In addition, an entrepreneurship support system has been created, which is a website for considering applications of entrepreneurs and their prompt resolution.”

The meeting was addressed by Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev. Then, Deputy Chairman of the Board Elchin Ibrahimov and Head of the Agency’s Office Shamil Suleymanli delivered speeches.

At the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the priorities of the Agency’s activity. The mechanism of monitoring and activity evaluation was discussed.
