By Sadraddin Agjayev - Trend:

Azerbaijan’s Azeltech company engaged in the design and production of various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) continues producing drones despite difficulties due to special quarantine regime, the company’s Director Samir Suleymanov told Trend.

According to him, the impossibility of testing drones is one of the serious problems of the company to date.

"We can’t release the drones we produced in order to test them in practice, and the difficulties arose amid the COVID pandemic," he said.

The director also noted that in the near future, due to easing of the quarantine regime, the company plan to begin testing UAVs.

“These drones have a completely new design, different colors and modern characteristics. Now we can’t say anything in detail about the updated characteristics of the devices, since these drones have not yet been tested properly so that we could give them an assessment and characterize their practical performance,” added Suleymanov.

The company developed UAVs such as multicopter, reconnaissance drones and kamikaze drones with a maximum flight duration up to 30 minutes.

Azeltech LLC is a resident of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences' High Technologies Park. It has production capacity and necessary equipment to produce electronic devices for military, medical, agricultural and other industries.
