Promotion of non-oil products of Azerbaijan in the Korean market is one of the priority directions of the Azerbaijani embassy’s activity, Azerbaijani Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Korea Ramzi Teymurov told Trend on July 30.
According to Teymurov, the market is one of the most important ones for Azerbaijan.
"About 50 million people are users of the Korean market. Obtaining access to the market isn’t an easy task, since it has its own standards and requirements for products,” he said. “It will take several years to bring Azerbaijani agricultural products to this market, and therefore work has already begun with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).”
“Moreover, we’re actively promoting Azerbaijan's food products at various trade exhibitions. In 2019, a visit of a delegation of the Korean Association of Exporters to Azerbaijan was organized, within which we reached a number of agreements on the export and import of Azerbaijani goods," added the ambassador.
